A great number of trees, shrubs and plants are cultivated in the Far East for the purpose of producing flowers or leaves with which the Indian and Chinese sorts of tea are scented.

An essential oil and a petroleum ether extracted concrète have been produced in China from these flowers. These products could be classified as orange-flower-like or jasmin-like in odor, but none of these perfume materials have been offered in commercial lots outside China yet. The concrète is used in Chinese perfumery. The author has no personal experience with the essential oil or with the concrète of **Murraya Paniculata**, but it is possible that the concrète will be available in Europe in the years to come.
