Various essential oils, derived from Chinese and Japanese trees belonging to the genus cupressaceae, appear occasionally on the perfume market under the name of **Japanese**** ****Cedar**** **or **Japanese Cypress **oil.
**Hiba**** ****Oil,**** ****Hinoki**** ****Oil**** **and **Sugi**** ****Oil**** **are three of the most important essential oils in this group. They constitute the cedarwood-like and pine-like raw materials for the Chinese and the Japanese perfume industry where they find use in soap perfumes, industrial perfumes, etc.
